Delete My Account

You're always free to leave WLSync and take your data with you. This page explains how to delete your account and what happens when you do.

1. How to request deletion

• In the app — go to Settings → Account and choose Delete Account. You'll be asked to confirm, since this can't be undone.
• By email — send a request from your account's email address to [email protected] with the subject "Delete my account." We may ask a follow-up question to verify it's really you.

2. What gets deleted

Once your request is processed, we remove:

• Your account, profile, and login credentials.
• Your watchlist, custom lists, comments, and likes.
• Your follows and followers relationships.
• Your stored Netflix session and sync settings.
• Your device push tokens and notification preferences.

Public catalog metadata (posters, cast, ratings) isn't tied to your account and isn't affected — it describes the content itself, not you.

3. What we may keep

We may retain minimal records for a limited period where the law requires it, or where needed to prevent fraud or abuse (for example, a record that an account existed and was deleted). This data isn't used for any other purpose and is kept only as long as necessary.

4. Timeline

We process deletion requests within 30 days. Content you've shared with others (like a public list link someone saved) may remain cached in their view for a short time after deletion.

5. Before you go

If you only want to stop syncing Netflix but keep your account, disable sync from Settings instead — no need to delete anything. If you signed up with Google or Apple, deleting your WLSync account doesn't affect that provider's account; you'll need to manage it separately.
