Under the Cloud of Hiroshima

At 08:15 am (local time) on 6 August 1945, a bright flash set the sky over Hiroshima ablaze. A gigantic column of smoke rises above the city. The first nuclear bomb in history has just been dropped on the largest metropolis in western Japan.
