Aan de oevers van de Leie

In Paris, a heated argument between Leontine and her father causes Leontine to pack her bags and travel to Nevele. Although her three uncles welcome her with open arms, they cannot prevent Aunt Cordula from having her way. Their Parisian niece can stay in Nevele if she works for room and board.
