Steven Gätjen serves as the Gamemaster; broadcasting from his Cologne studio, he sends the celebrities fleeing to a pre-selected major European city on October 17—giving them a one-hour head start. From that point on, their goal is to avoid being caught by the "Hunters" and their community for five days.
