Melody for Two

Tod Weaver finds his career on the skids and feels frustrated playing small-time venues. Tod is romantically tied to Gale Starr, an assistant conductor or singer who works in a top-notch club. Prompted by a helpful janitor named Exodus Johnson, Tod's band pivots to a fresh swing style featuring singer Lorna Wray.
